Michael’s Westurland’s Journey

As one of the lead singers of our beloved String Band, Michael is not only a talented entertainer but he is also a valued member of the Sinalei family. So when he decided that 2018 was going to be his year to shine at Samoa’s infamous Star Search Competition, we were with him all the way.

After 12 long weeks of battling it out with Samoa’s elite, the Sinalei family were elated to receive the news that he had made it to the final 5 finale. With a contingency rivalling the best of support crews, the team made a night out of his successful achievement by turning up to the finals in full force.

Despite a valiant effort by the young star, and the more than entertaining chants by ‘Team Michael’, our best bet for the top spot missed out ever so slightly. Nevertheless, with a smile on his face and a new fan base to call his own, we are happy to report that he is already making moves to record his band’s next album soon to hit the shelves of our Boutique.

With a bright future ahead of him, we look forward to what is yet to come.
